She began practicing yoga to enhance her physical health, but soon discovered its benefits extended far beyond her expectations. At 24, she arrived in Hong Kong, driven by a passion for flying, which she pursued for a decade, traveling the world with a sense of freedom.

Aerial yoga captured her heart first, enchanting her with the sensation of floating on a hammock. Later, she explored mat yoga to address lingering injuries, finding it a perfect balance to aerial yoga and the intensity of Hong Kong life. This journey deepened her understanding of anatomy, meditation, mindfulness, and yoga, surpassing her initial captivation with the beauty of asanas.

空中瑜伽是她的初戀,她愛上了在掛布上飛翔的感覺。後來,她嘗試墊上瑜伽以治療舊傷,發現它是空中瑜伽與香港生活的陽剛之氣的理想平衡。這段旅程加深了她對解剖學、冥想、正念和瑜伽的理解,超越了她最初對體式美感的迷戀。

She studied under esteemed instructors like Jason Crandell, Patrick Creelman, Rinat Perlman, Samrat Dasgupta, and Tiffany Cruikshank, earning her Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 certification. Yet, she soon realized that certifications were less significant than the wisdom gained. She holds deep gratitude for all her teachers, past and present.

Ultimately, her practice became a journey to "find her own breath."

She recalls the stiffness and weak endurance she felt before yoga, and now cherishes how practice has granted her a healthier, more agile body and the calm to navigate stress. Yoga has empowered her with greater self-control, emotional resilience, and confidence in her life, work, family, and relationships.

Take a deep breath, slow and low rhythm

To me, yoga is about finding the rhythm of breath.

Staying in the present in my every pose.

Elevating my asana beyond the physical dimensions.

Rachel is a very experienced teacher. She is patient, kind and truly takes the time to understand her students needs. She began by asking me my goals and needs to assess where I wanted to reach. I told her I've been having issues with my upper and lower back and she took the time to give me some assessment moves to see which side needed more focus. The flow afterwards was very tailor made to my needs. She also takes the time to explain the human anatomy to me and how each muscle group affects each other which gave me greater mind body awareness as I began to understand more of the connectivity. After my session, I felt great and that I had stretched and worked a lot of muscles I could not reach on my own. Rachel is always assuring me and making me feel safe in my practice and that is something I greatly appreciate. I look forward to more sessions with her.
